| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/gud: validate GUD_ROTATION_0 is present in supported rotations
The rotation argument to drm_plane_create_rotation_property() is set to
DRM_MODE_ROTATE_0, and the device reported rotation bitmask is used as
the supported_rotations argument. The driver never validates that
GUD_ROTATION_0 is present, so a device that omits it from its
GUD_PROPERTY_ROTATION triggers the
WARN_ON(rotation & ~supported_rotations) in
drm_plane_create_rotation_property()
Fix this by skipping the creation of rotation property if the device
doesn't have the GUD_ROTATION_0 bit |
| FFmpeg before commit b4c199c contains an incorrect integer narrowing conversion in the AV1 RTP packetizer (libavformat/rtpenc_av1.c). The OBU size is cast to long before comparison against the remaining frame size. On targets where long is 32 bits, including 64-bit Windows, sufficiently large OBU size values are sign-flipped by the narrowing cast, producing a negative value that passes the payload size check. This allows an oversized OBU to bypass the safety bound on affected platforms, leading to out-of-bounds memory access when the oversized value is subsequently used as a copy length. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ASoC: samsung: i2s: enable op_clk in probe to balance runtime PM
The probe function puts the device into the runtime PM active state with
only the "iis" bus clock enabled, but it also sets priv->op_clk to the
parent of the RCLK_SRC mux without enabling it. The runtime PM suspend
callback disables both clocks, so the first runtime suspend after probe
disables op_clk once more than it was enabled.
On Exynos5250 Arndale both clocks resolve to the same EXYNOS_I2S_BUS gate,
so this triggers the following warning during boot:
WARNING: drivers/clk/clk.c:1270 at clk_core_disable+0xe4/0x23c, CPU#0: kworker/u8:3/45

accel: ethosu: Don't read the U65 rounding mode as a storage mode
Bits 15:14 of NPU_SET_{IFM,OFM}_PRECISION select the activation storage
mode on U85 only. On U65 the same field holds the rounding mode, and the
command stream parser has read it as a storage mode since the driver was
added.
That went unnoticed while unknown values fell through the switch, but
now that they are rejected, every U65 command stream that asks for
natural rounding (2) fails CMDSTREAM_BO_CREATE with -EINVAL. Mesa emits
it for average pooling, concatenation, split, unpack, strided slice, LUT
and argmax, which is 72 failures of the Teflon test suite on an i.MX93.
Truncating rounding (1) is misread as well: it picks the two-tile
address path and computes a bogus feature map size from tile bases the
command stream never set.
Read the field as a storage mode only on the hardware where it is one. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Infer zext_dst based on static register liveness analysis
As reported in the thread [1], the verifier's 32-bit operations zero
extension logic is broken. This logic is responsible for correct
semantics of 32-bit operations on s390 architecture.
According to BPF semantics, operation `w1 += 1` is supposed to zero
extend the upper half of the register `r1`. On s390 the JIT relies on
the verifier emitting explicit zero extension before such operations.
The verifier attempts to minimize the amount of zero extensions
inserted by tracking whether upper halves of the 64-bit registers are
ever used. Previously such tracking worked as follows:
- bpf_reg_state->subreg_def field was set by do_check_insn()
for each operation defining lower but not the upper halves
of the register.
- Whenever an operation reading the whole register was verified,
the verifier checked register's subreg_def and set
bpf_insn_aux_data->zext_dst flag as true via a call to
mark_insn_zext() function.
- After the verification was complete, a special pass
bpf_opt_subreg_zext_lo32_rnd_hi32() extended 32-bit operations
with bpf_insn_aux_data->zext_dst set as true by adding
explicit zero extension.
Note that the logic above relies on bpf_reg_state->subreg_def,
which is a property of a current verifier state.
Before the commit [2] two additional steps happened:
- The verifier tracked upper and lower register halves' liveness as
flags REG_LIVE_READ{32,64} in bpf_reg_state->live.
- The function propagate_liveness() called mark_insn_zext()
in order to transfer the knowledge about which registers have
their upper halves alive (and thus might require zero extension).
The commit [2] removed the two steps described above,
hence making possible a situation like below:
- The register's upper half is set and is used on some verification
path P1 and the register happens not to be marked as precise.
- The checkpoint C is created while processing some instruction
between register initialization and usage.
- On some other verification path P2 the register's upper half is not
initialized and that path ends hitting the checkpoint C.
- In such a case the register's initialization on path P2 would lack
zext_dst mark, making it possible for the program to inject
an arbitrary value in the register's upper half.
This commit replaces subreg_def based logic with computing zext_dst
statically, as a part of the bpf_compute_live_registers() analysis:
- The analysis now tracks usage of upper and lower halves of the
registers separately.
- If some instruction defines a 32-bit subregister, but not the whole
register, *and* the upper half of the register is alive after that
instruction, the instruction is marked as zext_dst.
There is one notable drop in precision: whenever a BPF subprogram is
called, all 64 bits of parameter registers are presumed to be used.
The assumption is that such a drop in precision would not inflict
a noticeable performance penalty.

[2] commit 107e16979905 ("bpf: disable and remove registers chain based liveness") |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/packet: guard the ll header push in packet_rcv_spkt()
packet_rcv_spkt() restores the link layer header with
skb_push(skb, skb->data - skb_mac_header(skb));
That subtraction is only meaningful when the device actually has a link
layer header. packet_rcv() and tpacket_rcv() both wrap it in
dev_has_header(), which is also the predicate the block comment at the
top of the file states the restore in terms of; packet_rcv_spkt() does
not. commit d549699048b4 ("net/packet: fix packet receive on L3
devices without visible hard header") introduced the helper and changed
the two call sites, and this one stayed behind.
A device without a visible ll header can leave skb->mac_header at the
0xFFFF sentinel that __alloc_skb() initialises it to. A CAN skb does:
init_can_skb() sets pkt_type and ip_summed but does not reset the
headers, and commit 9f10374bb024 ("can: remove private CAN skb
headroom infrastructure") dropped the skb_reset_*_header() calls that
used to be there. skb_mac_header() is then 0xFFFF, the length becomes
a large negative number and skb_push() reports it through
skb_under_panic() -- from softirq context, so it is a full system panic
even with panic_on_oops=0:

Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt
The socket type is reachable: packet_create() accepts SOCK_PACKET
alongside SOCK_RAW and SOCK_DGRAM behind the same CAP_NET_RAW check,
and neither the socket length nor a capability check keeps it away
from a CAN interface.
The missing skb_reset_*_header() calls in init_can_skb() are a
regression in their own right and are being fixed separately, but a
packet socket should not turn a link layer that did not initialise its
mac header into a kernel panic. Guard the push the way the other two
receive paths do.
Tested on v7.3-rc5 under QEMU with a slcan device on a pty, which is
the driver RX path: vcan does not reproduce it, because can_send()
resets the headers on the way out. One SOCK_PACKET socket bound to
can0 and one frame written into the line discipline panics an
unpatched kernel with the trace above; the same image with this patch
prints no panic and powers off normally. Both kernels are this tree,
defconfig plus CONFIG_CAN_SLCAN=y, differing only in this hunk. |
| Incorrect Calculation vulnerability in VillaTheme CURCY woo-multi-currency allows Integer Attacks.This issue affects CURCY: from n/a through 2.2.17. |
| A mailbox quota-accounting vulnerability in Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) allows an authenticated user to consume another user’s mailbox quota by repeatedly sharing and revoking a document. Creation of the recipient’s shared-file record charges the document size to mailbox-wide usage. Revocation deletes the record and reverses its folder counters without reversing the mailbox-wide charge. Repeated normal share notifications therefore accumulate quota usage after the visible records are gone. On accounts with a finite quota, this can prevent incoming mail and other size-increasing operations without recipient interaction. The issue affects ZCS 10.1.16 and 10.1.20. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/damon/ops-common: use a page-aligned address in damon_ptep_mkold()
__damon_va_prepare_access_check() picks a random byte address within the
region and stores it in r->sampling_addr. damon_va_mkold() passes it into
a page table walk, which hands it to damon_ptep_mkold() as the address of
the page to sample:
damon_va_mkold(mm, r->sampling_addr)
damon_va_walk_page_range(mm, addr, addr + 1)
damon_mkold_pmd_entry()
damon_ptep_mkold(pte, vma, addr)
ptep_test_and_clear_young(vma, addr, pte)
mmu_notifier_clear_young(mm, addr, addr + PAGE_SIZE)
For arm64, before commit 6f0e1142173a ("arm64: mm: support batch clearing
of the young flag for large folios"), the contpte helper walked exactly
CONT_PTES entries from the aligned-down page table pointer and used @addr
only to pass down to each entry, so an unaligned value was harmless:
ptep = contpte_align_down(ptep);
addr = ALIGN_DOWN(addr, CONT_PTE_SIZE);
for (i = 0; i < CONT_PTES; i++, ptep++, addr += PAGE_SIZE)
Now the range to walk is derived from @addr instead: end = addr + nr *
PAGE_SIZE, rounded up to CONT_PTE_SIZE. For a sample in the last page of
a contpte block, the sub-page offset puts end just past the block
boundary, so the round-up lands a whole block further and the walk clears
PTE_AF in CONT_PTES entries beyond the sampled block. For the last block
in a page table page, those entries are past the end of that page, so the
walk writes into the page that follows.
Triggered by the full 7.1/7.2 kernel selftest suite on arm64 (EC2
c/m6g.4xlarge). The kernel sometimes crashes at or shortly after the
DAMON test.
What the overrun does depends on the page that happens to follow the page
table, so there is no single signature. If that page is read-only, the
write faults in the sampling path itself:

Otherwise the page is writable, the PTE_AF clearing succeeds silently and
the damage only surfaces later, in whatever happened to own the page, so
the backtrace is unrelated to DAMON and differs between runs.
Pass a page-aligned address to the ptep_test_and_clear_young() call in
damon_ptep_mkold(), which is the only place DAMON can reach
contpte_test_and_clear_young_ptes() from. Nothing else sees the aligned
address, and r->sampling_addr itself is left as is, so the sampling and
region bookkeeping semantics are unchanged. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
flow_dissector: avoid u16 truncation of hlen in bpf_flow_dissect()
bpf_flow_dissect() sanitizes the offsets returned by the BPF program
with clamp_t(u16, ..., hlen).
If hlen is bigger than 65535, the upper bound is truncated before
the comparison. For instance, with hlen == 65536, both nhoff and
thoff are forced to zero, even if the program returned sane values.
This is the same class of bug as the one fixed in commit 99bda1ecbd56
("flow_dissector: avoid u16 truncation of skb->len when computing
thoff"). That fix does not cover the BPF path, because
__skb_flow_dissect() returns early when a BPF flow dissector
handles the packet.
struct bpf_flow_keys stores nhoff and thoff as u16, so cap hlen
to U16_MAX before clamping.
