CVSS v3.1 |
| In sshd in OpenSSH before 10.6, the value "none" for a configuration option is sometimes interpreted as a filename but was intended to mean that a feature is disabled. |
| Handlebars provides the power necessary to let users build semantic templates. From 4.0.0 until 4.7.10, Handlebars.compile() and Handlebars.precompile() accept pre-parsed AST objects while validating only selected PathExpression, NumberLiteral, and BooleanLiteral values. This issue bypasses the AST validation introduced in version 4.7.9 for CVE-2026-33937. An attacker who can supply an object instead of a template string can place JavaScript expressions in unchecked values such as Program.blockParams.length, a non-PathExpression parameter depth, a non-string StringLiteral.value, or a non-string PathExpression.original. The compiler emits those values into generated JavaScript, causing code execution in the server process when compile output renders or wherever precompile output is loaded. Applications that pass only template strings are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 4.7.10. |
| This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of Linux Kernel 5.14-rc3. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the handling of eBPF programs. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied eBPF programs, which can result in a type confusion condition. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of the kernel. Was ZDI-CAN-14689. |
| In kernel/bpf/verifier.c in the Linux kernel before 5.12.13, a branch can be mispredicted (e.g., because of type confusion) and consequently an unprivileged BPF program can read arbitrary memory locations via a side-channel attack, aka CID-9183671af6db. |
| Improper state management in MongoDB libmongocrypt can cause provider-specific data to be treated as an incompatible type when cleaning up a key document containing duplicate masterKey fields. An authenticated actor who can modify key vault documents, or a server that returns such a key document, can cause invalid memory access and invalid frees in the client process. This can terminate the application or corrupt process memory. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: don't downgrade half-dead scalar zero spills to STACK_ZERO
states.c:__clean_func_state() can downgrade scalar zero spill to
STACK_ZERO in the following case:
*(u64 *)(r10 - 8) = 0;
... checkpoint ...
r1 = *(u32 *)(r10 - 4);
... no reads from r10-8 ...
Here 4 bytes at r10-8 are dead and verifier changes scalar spill to a
combination: 0000pppp (p stands for poison). Such a change breaks
precision propagation chains. All places that produce STACK_ZERO
should call bpf_mark_chain_precision() for the zero source.
This patch fixes the bug in a simplest way possible:
avoids converting stack spills of zero to STACK_ZERO.
Two smarter approaches are possible:
- do bpf_mark_chain_precision() from __clean_func_state()
- check slot liveness information in check_stack_write_fixed_off()
I investigated both and the changes required are a bit tricky,
hence go with a simple fix for the time being. |
| Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 114.0.5735.110 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| In multiple locations, there is a possible memory corruption due to type confusion. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.39 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.39 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Low) |
| Type confusion in ANGLE in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.39 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| Quasar Framework is a framework for building high-performance Vue.js user interfaces. Prior to 2.32.2, the openURL() utility in ui/src/utils/open-url/open-url.js trusted window.SafariViewController whenever that global existed in an iOS environment. Attacker-controlled HTML rendered by components such as QEditor can create a named SafariViewController element, causing browser named-property resolution to replace the expected native bridge object. A later openURL() call then invokes isAvailable() on the element, throws a TypeError, and disrupts external navigation, login redirects, payment redirects, and other URL-opening workflows. QSelect and QChatMessage HTML-rendering configurations can expose the same trigger when they render attacker-controlled HTML. This issue is fixed in version 2.32.2. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mac80211: only operate on TDLS peers in the TDLS code
ieee80211_tdls_oper() can operate on the AP station, which then
yields various warnings when the AP station is removed then or
at a later point in time after being confused for a TDLS peer.
Always check that the station is a TDLS peer. |
| libical 4.0.6 contains an incompatible function pointer in icalparameter_string_to_kind(). When parsing iCalendar data containing a parameterized property, the function passes icalparameter_compare_kind_map() to bsearch() through an incompatible comparator function pointer type. bsearch() invokes the callback through the mismatched type, resulting in undefined behavior and process termination, leading to denial of service. |
| Seroval facilitates JS value stringification, including complex structures beyond JSON.stringify capabilities. From 0.12.0 until 1.6.2, fromJSON deserialization of a fulfilled Promise control node can pass a plugin-produced callable-bearing thenable to a native Promise resolver. ECMAScript thenable assimilation then invokes the callable unexpectedly, allowing attacker-controlled JSON to trigger code in applications using plugin-capable Seroval releases. This path bypasses the Promise resolver type-confusion remediation in version 1.5.3 for CVE-2026-59940 because the unexpected invocation occurs through native Promise settlement after the referenced value is deserialized. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.2. |
| Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 154.0.8037.97 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nf_conntrack: use get_unaligned_be32() in tcp_sack()
The timestamp-only fast path dereferences the option stream as
*(__be32 *)ptr, which assumes 4-byte alignment that the TCP option
stream does not guarantee. Use get_unaligned_be32() instead, which
reads the value safely and already returns host byte order, so the
htonl() on the comparison constant can be dropped.
This matches the existing get_unaligned_be32() use later in the same
function. |
| Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 154.0.8037.57 allowed a remote attacker leveraging social engineering to potentially execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Low) |
| An unprivileged, memory-protected ThreadX module can have the kernel read and write memory at addresses of its choosing, in privileged mode, and can use that to clear the MPU enable bit and remove its own isolation boundary.
The Module Manager decided whether a privileged service could dereference an object address a module named by asking only whether that address fell outside the module. The manager's object pool is outside every module, so the test was satisfied by an address shifted into the interior of one of the module's own privileged allocations, which denotes no object at all. The bytes such an address presents as a control block are bytes the module put there through ordinary create and set services, so the control block ID at the front of them could be made to read as any type the module chose, and the `_txe_` layer's ID test then agreed. The reported chain uses that to reach a privileged `memset` across an attacker-chosen range. |
